Naga High School Visit
On Monday, 20 Japanese students and two teachers from our sister school, Naga High School, visited the Bellarine Campus.
The day was a memorable and culturally-rich experience for both our friends from Japan and us. In the welcome assembly, Mr. Kato, the teacher from Naga High School, mentioned that our sister school program was established 25 years ago. Since then, about 400 Naga students have visited our College and the same number of Christian College students have visited Naga High School.
There was no doubt that the teachers and students from both schools built on our long-lasting friendship this day. The students enjoyed various fun activities, including dancing, cooking, Japanese and Australian trivia and sports. It was great to see the students actively communicating in either English or Japanese and making friends.
We hope that our two schools will continue to grow together and that we will have many more opportunities for students to use their language skills and develop a cultural understanding and awareness.
