It was fantastic to see so many of the 'Class of 2007' at their reunion on Saturday.
More than 60 students attended, many with their partners and children. This made for a very warm, friendly and excited group.
Gathering at the Senior School Campus, the group were welcomed by Mr Scott Elliss and Mr Glen McKeeman and were able to experience the wonderful Administration and Resource Centre, an update since they attended. A moment of reflection was taken as we remembered Jyrah Morton, who is sadly no longer with us. A trip down memory lane followed with a school bus trip, escorted by Mr Daryl Riddle, to the Clock Tower at the Middle School Campus, where Mr Tony Costa and a team of Middle School staff welcomed the group.
Much fun was had in the clock tower, with the past students finding their 'brick' which they wrote on back in Year 12.
A great evening followed at Deakin Lakehouse, ably MC'd by 2007 Graduate, Liam Petrie Allbutt, our 2007 School Captains, Monique Challis (Van Yzendoorn) and Lachlan McKeeman, who reflected on their time at Christian College and the impact the College has had on their lives over the last 10 years.
A movie presentation of images of the 2007 students, created by Liam, was a highlight with many laughs at hairdos and antics. Time capsule parcels were also opened and more wonderful memories came flooding back.
We look forward to future opportunities to come together, reminisce, reconnect and socialise!
