Homelessness Week

On Friday the 4th of August, a devoted team of SRC’s and Prefects came together to host a Project Care Day to raise awareness about homelessness. During the week, the team came together for countless meetings to prepare for the day’s work. On the day, the Geelong and the Bellarine Salvation Army outreach vans came along to show students their method of helping people in need. Along with the vans were a team of volunteers who spoke about the importance of the day and the process they go through every Wednesday and Friday night to help the homeless.  Some of these volunteers were students and staff of our middle school campus, this included Mr. Andy Allen, Ted Page-Walker (8B) and Chelsea Osburn (9Y). The day was huge success with raising over $1,100 for the Salvation Army.
