Senior Choir at the Geelong Eisteddfod

On Tuesday, 15th August, members of the Christian College Senior Choir competed in the Choral Section of the Geelong Eisteddfod at Geelong Grammar School.

The choir had prepared repertoire at their Music Camp in Term 2 and polished this repertoire in their weekly rehearsals. The students sang beautifully with a unified tone and were commended for their interpretation of their pieces, which ranged from 'Sacred Music', 'Australian Composition', 'African Chant' and 'Musical Theatre'. The choir was accompanied by Regina Thomae and conducted by Tania Spence.

We were thrilled to come away with first place in all three sections against the formidable Choir of Geelong Grammar School.

Congratulations to the students on their performance, but most of all for how they represented Christian College so wonderfully on the day.
