Year 9 OED – Practice Makes Perfect
This week, the Year 9 Outdoor Education students have braved the wind, cold and rain in order to prepare for their Wilsons Promontory hike at the end of this term.
While the students hiked 3.7km this week, they are facing a much longer (42km) ordeal at 'Wilsons Prom' - and with much heavier packs, too!
The hike will aim to introduce students to one of Victoria’s most pristine and picturesque locations, while asking them to reflect on the history and future of this unique National Park. All the while, students will be developing their leadership, organisational and collaborative skills as well as their cooking expertise!
For many students, this camp has remained a highlight of their College education and I, for one, am very excited for the upcoming trip.
