R U OK? Day

This year’s date for R U OK? Day at the Junior School Campus is Thursday, 14th September.

Christian College greatly values R U OK? Day, which aims to raise the awareness of mental health in our community. The day encourages people to look out for one another, including both staff and students during special activities held throughout the day. It seeks to reduce the stigma often associated with mental health issues and encourages people to seek help when it is needed.

Students will come in casual dress on Thursday, 14th September wearing something YELLOW.

Christian College supports the work of headspace and its role in assisting young people. Headspace seeks to raise awareness of mental health issues in our community which we value greatly. There will be no need for students to bring a gold coin donation for this event, however.

Posters will be displayed around our Campus, advertising this important event. We will have a recess / lunch activity that brings us together as a Campus community. Aspects relating to our emotional wellbeing will be discussed during the children’s devotional sessions.
