GISSA Golf Championships

The inaugural GISSA Golf Championships were held at Curlewis GC last Friday. Our College team was competitive on the day, with some very good individual performances. Whilst St Ignatius College took out the title on the day, our young players will be better for the experience, and are looking forward to next year’s competition. We were very fortunate to have Jack Murdoch (a Christian College graduate, and one of our country’s leading amateur golfers) coaching our team on the day. His presence and words of encouragement were greatly appreciated by all players. Team members included – Brydon Barnett, Holly Peacock, Ethan Reeves, Kyle Sykstus, Charlie Barnett, Archie Edington and Harrison Leigh.

Athletics Victoria All Schools Relay Championships

On Wednesday, our College was well represented at the All Schools Relay Championships. We congratulate our young athletes on their performances in the 4x100m and Medley relays. Over 30 schools competed at this State level event, which made for some excellent competition for our young athletes. Our Under-14 girls qualified for their 4x100m Final and finished in 6th place, which is a great outcome. All our team members are to be congratulated on their performances on this day: Nyah Brown, Bianca Pocklington, Tahlia Troy, Jorja Kirsopp-Cole, Bethany Dean, Connor Hickey, Zach Devonish, Stefan Rasic, Thomas Renouf, Oscar Murdoch, Harrison Leigh, Elliot MacDonald, Owen Costin, Kade Leigh and Ethan Grills.
