History Roadshow Comes To Christian College

On Tuesday, 12th September, there much excitement for our VCE History staff and students at Senior School as we hosted, for the first time, the History Council of Victoria’s ‘History Roadshow’.

Nine schools across Geelong and the Surf Coast joined with our own Christian College students to hear about the benefits of studying History from a panel of those who work in the field. Students then moved into smaller groups to participate in specific lectures on their VCE History subject of choice, including 20th Century History, Australian History, Global Empires and the American Revolution.

Students were thoroughly engaged by the university experts presenting on their subject of choice, gaining greater enrichment and depth in the areas covered throughout the day. The various students from across the many schools also challenged each other’s viewpoints, allowing participants to think critically about their perspective on the issues and events discussed.
