Movie Parental Permission - Year 9 Boys English

During Term 3 in English, the students have been studying a biography or autobiography based on their own choosing.

Over the course of the last few weeks the students have been busy studying their texts and writing essays based on their selected character. As a reward for their behaviour and avid interest in this unit of work, we have decided to watch a biographical film titled ‘Catch Me If You Can’, which is rated M.

‘Catch Me If You Can’ is a 2002 American biographical crime comedy-drama film based on the life of Frank Abagnale, who, before his 19th birthday, successfully performed cons worth millions of dollars by posing as a Pan American World Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor, and a Louisiana prosecutor. His primary crime was check fraud; he became so skillful that the FBI eventually turned to him for help in catching other check forgers. The film was directed by Steven Spielberg and stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.
