Making music with others is a special delight when it involves 220 students from Years 3 to 9.
The Music Department has hosted its annual Music Camp for ensemble members from our Bellarine and Highton Middle Schools in Anglesea from Sunday to Wednesday this week. Junior School (Years 3 and 4) members of the Middle School ensembles were also invited to attend.
Each day was jam-packed with tutorials, full ensemble rehearsals (choirs, String orchestras, concert bands, stage bands and rock groups), musical feats, musical challenges, collaboration between groups of students and staff, workshops, dancing, games. There was also walks to visit the resident kangaroos, beach volleyball, laughter, eating and doing dishes together, celebrating friendships, making new friends, learning about each other’s gifts, encouraging each other and working towards shared goals with purpose and enthusiasm!
The focus and commitment of the students throughout the Music Camp was a key to the fabulous outcomes achieved. All of this great work was only possible through the outstanding drive, talent and inspiration provided by the Music Faculty staff!
BRAVO TO ALL!!
