Richmond Institute of Sports Leadership - 2018
A program for athletes from all types of sport, not just Australian Rules Football
Richmond Football Club and Swinburne University of Technology have joined forces to establish the Richmond Institute of Sports Leadership Program.
This unique program is aimed at developing post-Year 12 students to be the next generation of leaders within the sports industry. Students complete a combined Diploma of Sport Development and a Diploma of Leadership and Management.
Students spend a year learning in an elite sporting environment, with access to industry placements and real employment opportunities with Richmond Football Club and partner organisations. Students also have access to a fully-equipped gymnasium to develop themselves in a high performance environment. On successful completion of the program, they are entry into a range of Swinburne University degrees.
Entry is not based on an ATAR score, you must complete a direct application and attend the Open Day to gain further information. Positions in this program are available now. Current Year 11 athletes are also welcome to attend the information session.

Year 12 - VTAC Important Dates and Change of Preference Dates

MOST IMPORTANTLY - THE CLOSING DATE FOR CREATING YOUR TIMELY VTAC ACCOUNT is Saturday, 28th September (5pm). After this time, the fee increases to $103 for late application. There is a very late application fee of $134.
IT and IM Traineeships 2018

ASIO’s IM and IT Traineeships are aimed at graduating Year 12 students or students undertaking their first year of vocational education in IM or ICT courses. The traineeships are entry level positions designed to build fundamental skill sets on which to base your IM or IT career on.

For those with an interest in the areas of STEM, the links through the Refraction Media company are quite fascinating. Do take the time to wander through the abundance of resources and information. The College does receive a limited number of their various magazine publications and students are encouraged to keep an eye out for them on display in the Careers shelves near the Student Office and in the Careers Room.

Girls Make Games (GMG) Summer Camp – Monash University
Senior and Middle high school girls are invited to apply for this international game development program designed to inspire girls to learn about game design, programming and entrepreneurship. This event is hosted by the Department of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at Monash Univeristy.
Early registration allows for a discount of $50 and financial aid scholarships are also available.

Deakin University Step-On Campus Term Break Program
Deakin's Step-on Campus program is running again during the Term 3 school break. Find out more about university life, study areas and what it’s really like to be a student at Deakin. Deakin students will be running 45-minute Campus tours, a great opportunity to see the Campus and ask questions, particularly for those students who missed out on Open Day.
