Invitation – WW1 Remembrance Mural Unveiling Service

Dear Bellarine Families,

You are invited to the unveiling of the WW1 Mural and Service of Remembrance on Friday, 10th November at 10:40am at the Bellarine Campus.

Through a Year 9 unit of study in English and Humanities, students (in conjunction with artist Mr Andrew Plant) have developed a mural which commemorates the men and women from the Bellarine Peninsula who served in The Great War. Andrew, an author, artist and keen historian, lived in France and wrote his most well-known book ‘The Poppy’.

The mural has been supported through the ANZAC Centenary Community Grant Program, the Saluting Their Service Commemorations Program, the Drysdale RSL and the Bellarine Historical Society.

Please join us in being part of this ceremony, as we are reminded of the cost that was paid through the Great War.
