Christmas Hamper Drive - Project Care
As you may be aware, the Adopt-A-Family program is not running this year.
We have been involved with the program since its inception, and wish to continue with our students helping those less fortunate within our local community to have a happy time at Christmas. As such, we would ask the students to bring along items of Christmas food rather than gifts this year.
If each child brings two or three items, this should mean that each Homeroom will be able to create a generous hamper to be distributed by the different charitable organisations to families in Geelong. We would ask that food items cannot be home-made or perishable.
Examples:
Food items: chocolates, fruit juice, soft drinks, fruit cake, lollies, dry biscuits and crackers, pudding, tinned fruit, chips, pretzels, tinned vegetables, tinned tuna and salmon.
Other: Christmas tablecloth and napkins, advent calendars, bonbons.
Thank you to families who have already donated items. We aim to have hampers finalised by Monday, 4th December. Thank you in anticipation.
