From The Head of Senior School
The VCE examinations are well under way and some students have already completed their required assessments. We have been very happy with the way the students have approached them.
The Library has been very busy with some students teaching others the finer points of their subject. The Year 11 examinations commenced this week, and we should thank the students for preparing for them. It is excellent preparation for the final examinations.
The teachers have been working hard to ensure the examinations are a fair reflection on the semester’s work. On Wednesday, 29th November there will be an opportunity for students in Year 10 and 11 to receive their examination papers back so they can see where they succeeded and the areas for further consideration.
The Year 10 examinations are next week, with their final classes being today.
The Art Show
Opening Night is tonight and it is one of the real highlights of the year. Work on display from students range from Prep to Year 12, and no other school would have such a collection. The students are very excited about the event and have been working hard to ensure each and every aspect is perfect.
An interesting point is that students in the Textiles area can have another student model their work in the parade. This experience by itself is exceptional, and certainly represents 'The Learning That Matters'.
Year 12 Graduation
Next week is one of the busiest of the year, preparing for the Year 12 Graduation at Costa Hall in the afternoon, and then the dinner at The Pier. The Graduation ceremony is open to all and tickets are not required. It is an afternoon in which all staff from all Campuses are there to help celebrate the graduation of the Year 12 students. This formal ceremony is one students will always remember.
