Letter to Premier Daniel Andrews - Year 4 Student

Mikayla Krivohlavek from Year 4D decided while watching TV that she had seen enough gambling advertisements and thought it was time she took matters into her own hands and do something about it!

To this end, Mikayla wrote a letter to the Victorian Premier, Mr Daniel Andrews, urging him change the law so that gambling ads would only appear on TV late into the night. Mikayla’s letter led to an interview with 3AW’s Neil Mitchell on his morning program, and further interviews with several news organisations.

We are very proud of Mikayla and the maturity she has displayed in her attempt to make contact with Mr Andrews in order to see a change in the law for the greater benefit of many in our community. This is a great example of one of our students doing 'Good Work'.

Both the letter and interview link are attached.
