Combined Campus Drama Performance - Year 9

This week, the Year 9 Drama students from the Middle and Bellarine Campuses came together to perform in front of family, friends and the Faculty.

The event showcased 'Elizabethan', 'Greek' and 'Epic' theatre styles through 16 excerpts from four different plays, and it was a fantastic opportunity to foster a cross-Campus community within the Performing Arts. Students and teachers collaborated to direct and perform work in each of these styles, broadening their performance skills and understanding of theatre as a whole.

The performers were encouraged throughout to take ownership of this event, working with elements of stagecraft and production, as well as participating in group rehearsals. Each style required different skills and presented different challenges and the students certainly rose to them!

The night was a resounding success, and we thank those who came along to celebrate the talent of our Year 9 students before they graduate from their respective Campuses. We also would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff who volunteered their time to help us on the night.

Congratulations to all involved!
