Year 11 VCAL Students at Back Creek Farm

From Monday, 6th November to Wednesday, 8th November, the Year 11 VCAL students attended a three-day camp at the Back Creek Farm.

The focus of this Camp was for the students to display the skills and knowledge they have developed throughout the VCAL program this year. The students worked together to support each other in a variety of tasks from milking, harvesting, fencing and meal preparation.

It was great to see them put into action the skills they have learnt and it was a fabulous opportunity to see students out of the classroom and in a work environment. Both staff and students came away from the Camp with a positive experience and a range of new skills and knowledge.

Opportunities like this help support the VCAL program to provide vital skills for life after school in preparation for Apprenticeships, Traineeships, full-time employment or, in some cases, further studies.
