Dear Parents and Guardians,
You may have heard that SEQTA have recently released their mobile app, however Christian College has not yet rolled out this functionality to our community. SEQTA did inadvertently turn on the ‘app’ links on our site prior to us being notified, which is why some parents may have seen the options regarding the SEQTA Engage app and attempted to gain access. This access would have flagged as an error, at present.
The reason we have not yet enabled the app is to allow time for our IT department to complete our due diligence, and to investigate and address any potential security issues that the SEQTA app may expose to our community.
The College is excited by the release of the SEQTA app, and is keen to implement it as soon as possible, which we will do as soon as we have completed testing, and have been assured by SEQTA of the security of the data accessed by the app.
We apologise for any confusion this has caused for those parents who attempted to access the app. Once released, we will notify all parents of the functionality and provide instructions on how to use the app, which has some wonderful tools and improves efficiency.
