'Elf on the Shelf' Arrives in Year 2 Classrooms!

What a super exciting time it was last Friday when a little red man in a little red van drove into Christian College Junior School.

He sprightly hopped out and ran into the office and handed Mrs Ann Begg three very cold, icy parcels with the classes 2B, 2G and 2R addressed on the front. The classes welcomed their ‘Elf on a Shelf’ with sheer screams of delight as the parcels were unwrapped and ‘Elf on the Shelf’ stories were read to the students. From that day onwards, our Elves have been creating havoc in our classrooms; getting tangled in the tinsel, taking Christmas bags off chairs and piling them up so he can sit on top and making snow angels.

It has created such a wonderful Christmas atmosphere among students and staff. Elfie in 2G gave gifts of chocolate Santas from his North Pole Sweets Shop, which was definitely a highlight of the day.

These events are just a few of the mischievous activities that our Elves have been up to since their arrival. The Year 2 students can’t wait to continue their adventures with their classroom Elves next week and record in their Elf diaries all of the naughty things that their Elf is up to.
