All That We Can Be Thankful For - Year 1

Through a series of stories and photographs the students from Year 1S compared their life experiences to those of children living in a developing country.

Peter, our guest speaker, shared his first-hand experience and stories of working in Myanmar. The theme of the conversation was being thankful, as students were continually reminded of how thankful they can be for the daily conveniences they all too often take for granted - such as having a bed to sleep in, a comfortable home, footpaths to walk on and having ample food to eat.

Many connections were made through the conversation, as students considered 'JoJo', our Compassion Child through Project Care, and the children in East Timor.
