Message from The Head of Campus

Dear Parents,

As our academic year draws to a close, can I take this opportunity to thank and congratulate our students, parents and staff for a rich year of learning together at Middle School - Highton. There have been so many highlights, many of which we've had the opportunity to celebrate throughout the year in our Vine articles. We trust you have enjoyed reading these and being kept informed of the learning journey our students have been on.

On Wednesday, our Middle School - Highton Presentation Evening provided an opportunity for us to celebrate and recognise the achievements of our students throughout 2017, as well as reflect on some of the wonderful opportunities our students have had to think, learn, be challenged and grow in their 'Good Work'.

Our evening included a four-part series of the 'Good Work Narrative', allowing students to share examples of their 'Good Work' which occurred throughout this year - work that seeks to serve others and glorifying our Heavenly Father. Nights such as these provide a wonderful celebration of our students, and reflected strongly the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

As we approach this festive season, we all have an opportunity to stop and reflect on God's 'Good Work', through the birth of His son Jesus Christ. John 10:10 says: 'I came that they may have life and have it abundantly'. May you pause to reflect on Jesus, the greatest gift God could provide at Christmas – his name is Immanuel, God with us, the Prince of Peace.

Thank you for your support and encouragement of our staff and programs throughout 2017, and we look forward excitedly to welcoming our students back on Wednesday, 31st January, 2018. On behalf of the Middle School - Highton staff, I wish you all a fabulous time of relaxation with family and friends over the holiday break.

Take care and God bless.

Mr Tony Costa
