Year 10 Transition at Senior School
Last week Senior School was blessed to have our current Year 9 students on Campus for two days as part of our Transition program.
This program provided a wonderful opportunity for our current Year 9 students to meet new teachers, have an introduction to each of their subjects and, most importantly, gain a feel for our Senior School Campus in preparation for the commencement of the next stage of their educational journey as members of this community. We were impressed with the level of engagement these students demonstrated, as well as their willingness to be involved in a range of activities.
The ease with which they adapted to not only their new surroundings, but to new peers and teachers was most pleasing - and a credit to those who assisted them in the preparation of this transition process at Middle School - Highton and the Bellarine Campuses. The transition to Senior School marks a very special time for our students as they begin to gain a sense of independence, and more closely consider their future career opportunities and pathways.
We are excited and optimistic about the wonderful blessings our new Year 10 students will bring in 2018 and we thank them for the very positive first impression they left with us here at the Senior School Campus. We would like to take this opportunity to wish these students and their parents a wonderful and restful break over the holidays.
