From The Head of Junior School
Dear Parents and families,
As we prepare to say farewell to our 2017 year together, I would like to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to you for your ongoing support of the staff and the teaching and learning at our Junior School Campus.
Last night at Presentation evening, we had the opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the ‘Good Work’ our students and staff have been engaged in throughout the year. Work that seeks to honour and glorify God, work that has enabled students to celebrate their differences and seek their individual gifts and talents, and work that has called students to serve. The Year 4 student leaders shared with us the message that it is also our ‘Good Work’ in helping and serving others, showing courage and sharing the love of God, that helps us to weather the storm.
In Matthew 5:16 it says: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven”. In doing our ‘Good Work’, we acknowledge that God is our refuge and strength and celebrate that He is our promise of hope for the future.
Our opportunity to celebrate continues at Christmas time as we share the good news of Jesus' birth. It is my prayer that you have many opportunities to experience this Christmas as a time of great joy.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming students and families back on Wednesday, 31st January, 2018, and on behalf of all the staff at Christian College Junior School, I wish you a safe, happy and blessed Christmas.
