This week for our prep investigations session the students were discovering why bubbles are so special. They discussed what is needed to create a bubble and then they experimented with bubble wands and the bubble mixture that they had prepared.
The children quickly realised if they took their time with the movement of their bubble wand the bigger the bubble would be, and if they moved their wand quickly the bubble would pop on the way out of the wand.
The students also enjoyed looking at the rainbows that appeared in the larger bubbles. Of course a favourite part of their investigations was to chase the bubbles and try to pop them.
