Prep Parent Volunteers - Perceptual Motor Program

As part of the Prep P.E. curriculum, students will participate in a Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) throughout the year.
To help the students with activities and basic skill development, we are looking for volunteer parents/grandparents to assist with the following sessions, all to be held on Tuesdays:

Prep R – Period 6, 12:50-1:30pm
Prep B – Period 7, 2:10-2:45pm
Prep G – Period 8, 2:45-3:25pm

Our PMP program will formally commence on Tuesday 27th February, 2018 and continue weekly throughout the terms, unless notified.

You can volunteer to work with your child’s class only, or if you can stay for two classes or all 3, that would be greatly appreciated. Having the same volunteers for consecutive classes helps with continuity of instruction and smooth transitions between groups. A ‘Working with Children Card’ is required for all volunteers. Please note we are unable to cater for siblings and toddlers due to safety issues and the need for parents to focus on their group.

Please contact me by email if you would like to assist, or have questions about the program. It would be lovely to ‘share the load’ between volunteers, and the children really enjoy having their parent or special person along to assist with the activities. Helping with our program is also a nice way for us to meet parents and for you to get to know our wonderful Prep students and meet other parents.

Please let me know if you would like to join us.

Jo Richardson.
PMP Coordinator
