Year 7 Camp to Beaufort

Last week our Year 7s enjoyed a three-day ‘Getting to Know You’ camp at Cave Hill Creek, Beaufort.

We were blessed by not only a stunning location, but perfect weather and a great range of activities to take part in.  The students immersed themselves in all of their tasks, both challenging themselves as well as having fun.  Climbing ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ and building a ‘Crate Stack’, along with canoeing, were just a few of the highlights from the activities.

Other highlights included a camp out for the girls on the first night and the second night for the boys, with a campfire and toasted marshmallows.  We were lucky to have clear skies, which allowed us to gaze at the stars and reflect on how wonderful our world is.

The students mixed really well in the tribes and took on the challenge of being the best tribe to work together as a supportive group.

New friendships have been created and old ones strengthened, setting the Year 7's up for a wonderful year together.
