Message from the Chaplain

Last Friday, Year 9 students, Lachie Williams and Holly Harris along with Year 8 student, Emily Mortimer, attended the Drysdale Uniting Church for the celebration of the World Day Of Prayer service.

The students had the opportunity to participate in readings and a creative aspect of the service.

The message was that our world is precious and God’s creation is worth looking after. This was also a unique opportunity for our students to be involved in a local community event and to gain experience speaking in a formal setting in front of an audience.

Personally, I have been viewing Richard Attenborough’s Planet Earth series recently, where I am constantly amazed at God’s creation and how perfect it is. The animals, environment and just about everything. I’m also reminded how, as human beings, we are unique and wonderfully made.

Psalm 139:13-16 says this about you...

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

How amazing!!! You are perfectly made…

God Bless,

Gary Crole,
Chaplain, Bellarine Campus
