VCAL Visits the Grand Prix

Year 12 VCAL students enjoyed a visit to the Grand Prix in Melbourne this week. In the lead up to the event, the students worked on Numeracy, Literacy and Work Related Skills activities based around The Grand Prix. They were able to observe first hand an array of work related risks, hazards and control measures for a large-scale event. Students were able to research and record information relevant to their class work. Many different cars including vintage racing cars, defence force vehicles and the latest innovations and technologies in the industry were on view. There was plenty to see but the highlight was of course the very fast and loud cars navigating the track in preparation for the weekend.
