Athletics Carnival Results

On Thursday 22 March, the Senior School held its annual Athletics Carnival at the Middle School Campus. The magnificent weather contributed to a day that was once again full of spirit, colour, athleticism and comradery.

The level of participation and house community spirit was extremely impressive with many students displaying solid performances in both track and field events. Our students embraced the day and all who attended are to be commended for the way they represented themselves and our college.

The house spirit best dressed award was something to behold with our judges Mrs Bailey, Mr O’Loughlin and Mrs Tutty needing to intently peruse the catwalk while deliberating the results. Well done to all students who supported this event and congratulations to  1st – Lily Ahlberg  2nd – Cameron Mutsaerts 3rd – Luke Creati on their placing in the best dressed for 2018.

Well done to all athletes for your efforts on the day your ability to run, jump, skip and throw all day is a credit to your dedication and support of the carnival. Congratulations to the year level champions for your excellent performances.

A big congratulations to Burrows House who took out the 2018 House Athletics Championships by accumulating the most points for all events on the day. Well done.

Finally, thank you to all staff, students and parents for your support of the Athletics Carnival. It was a wonderful day that show cased not only our talented athletes but our great community at Christian College with many students assisting staff on the day with official roles. We look forward to announcing the GISSA Athletics team in the near future.
