What a Term for Year 10 Students!
The last few weeks of term have been quite busy for our Year 10 students and over that time it has been wonderful to witness the level of engagement and participation of the students in embracing the myriad of activities and presentations on offer.
On Thursday 15th March, our students listened to a Cyber Safety presentation by Senior Constable Robbie Noggler and he provided students with a great deal of valuable information regarding how to stay safe online. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to hear first hand the experiences and advice of the Victoria Police when it comes to recommendations on the safe use of technology. As a parent, one of the main messages I can share is to keep an open channel of communication with your child.
On Friday 16th March a number of students attended our ‘Outdoor Cinema’ evening and it provided an excellent opportunity for us as Year Level Coordinators to interact with students in a less formal setting. They seemed to enjoy the evening and we do thank you for your support as we attempt to nurture and develop a sense of belonging to our cohort.
Our Athletics carnival was a great success and once again it was fantastic to see many of our Year 10 students shine. Whilst Burrows were victorious, all students should be congratulated on their participation on the day.
The first term has been marked by some wonderful celebrations and we are most impressed with the manner in which our Year 10 students have transitioned to Senior School.
We wish all of our Year 10 students and families a wonderful Easter. At times we may overlook some of the important things in life, when we are carried away by the myriad of tasks that keep us busy. Easter provides an opportunity for reflection and to be thankful for all the blessing that we have in our lives.
