Mothers' Day Tabloid Sports Day

We will be celebrating Mothers’ Day on Friday, 11th May with the annual Tabloid Sports Day. This will commence around 11.30am and conclude with the time honoured Mothers’ Sack Race from 1.00pm.

The Year 4 students will be conducting some sporting activities for Preps, Year 1, 2 and 3 students. Parents are more than welcome to come and support this event.

We encourage any mothers who would like to participate in the sack race to please sign up at registration desk on the day. There will be some great prizes up for grabs, with Bakers’ Delight gift vouchers on offer.

Bakers’ Delight, Highton have generously continued to support this day by supplying prizes and food. On behalf of the College, I would like to thank Danielle and David Bourke for their ongoing support of this event.

On the day we will be raising awareness of the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) as Danielle and Baker’s Delight are huge supporters. Further details will be sent out in next week’s Vine.

At the completion of the Tabloid Sports, each student will be provided with 2 rolls (to be confirmed by next week). We encourage families to stay for a picnic lunch and we would ask you to bring along any additional food and drink for yourself and other family members. (Please note, there is no swimming for Year 3's this day)

If you do not wish your child to receive this lunch, please notify your child’s teacher prior to the day and send them with a packed lunch. Please note that the Junior School Canteen will not be open on this day.

The students are required to wear full sports uniform with House coloured polo tops.

We look forward to celebrating this special day and enjoying the activities on the day.
