From the Chaplain - Stephen Riddle on behalf of Rowan Thurman
The first three weeks of term have been a very exciting one with our Commencement service, Anzac Day ceremony, our Award Assembly starring 3R, as well as the cross country.
The Commencement Assembly was particularly significant to me after retiring more than twelve months ago. To once again enjoy the interaction with staff and students has brought back many fond memories of my time spent at the Junior School. It has also reminded me what a special place Junior School is and the wonderful privilege we have in being able to teach your children. Whilst our academic program is second to none, the greatest privilege is to be able to share with the children what it means to have faith in Jesus. It is through this relationship that children discover that the values we hold onto are a natural expression of our faith. They grow in their understanding that their worth is found in who they are as a child of God not through what they can do or achieve.
It has been my joy to be a part of such a loving and caring community where each child is valued and encouraged to grow and strive to reach their potential.
May God richly bless each of our families throughout this term.
