William Angliss Maths Excursion

On Monday students from the Year 10 Certificate and Year 11 VCAL classes traveled to Melbourne to spend the day at the William Angliss Institute. The students were introduced to the art of coffee making through a short Barista course, as well as the pleasure of making Macarons with a French Chef for the afternoon. The purpose of the excursion was to develop skills in Numeracy/Mathematics's in conjunction with their classroom work. The excursion provided an excellent opportunity for the students to develop important maths and cooking skills where they were able to use the application of measurement in a variety of domestic, industrial and commercial contexts. It was great to see the engagement and participation of the students involved in such a valuable activity.
