Tonight's 'Geelong After Dark' - Year 9 Guerrilla Art & Drama Performance & Installation

The collaboration of the Term 1 learning of both the Year 9 Guerrilla Art and Drama students will come to fruition tonight when they take part in the 2018 Geelong After Dark event in Central Geelong. Tonight is Central Geelong’s annual night of arts: transforming the streets, laneways and venues of Geelong’s CBD. This year’s theme, ‘Earth’, will see students use both installation artwork and performance to showcase the transformation of Geelong’s employment landscape from blue collar to white collar and highlight the local issue of homelessness.

A crowd of around 20,000 is expected to explore the city and be surprised by a program of hundreds of exciting and unique pop-up performances, installations and arts experiences. Christian College Bellarine is believed to be the only school accepted into the event and we know the students would very much appreciate your support. Christian College Bellarine ‘Transformation’ will be located at the north (waves) sculpture at the waterfront end of Moorabool Street. Students will perform half-hourly between 6pm and 9.30pm.
