Year 1 Camp to Anglesea

The Year 1 students were blessed with gorgeous weather during their two day stay at Burnside Camp last Monday and Tuesday.

Shortly after arriving and setting up our rooms we all headed off on an exciting bush walk. The afternoon was full of activities as the students rotated around stations of low ropes, orienteering, boat building and the flying fox.  All of which were enthusiastically completed by our campers.  As well as being fun, these ventures gave us the opportunity to stretch our collaboration muscles, take risks and work on problem-solving skills. Our afternoon wrapped up with Bush Play which was a highlight for many followed by dinner and a movie.

Tuesday morning, we finished off our rotation activities, toasted marshmallows around the fire pit and made our way back to school.

A big thankyou to the Year 9 Prefects, Tiarna, Charlotte and Jordan. They were a fantastic support to students as they helped them around camp, supported them throughout activities, facilitated many games and gave out endless hugs and pats on the back.

Thank you to all our fabulous students and teachers for a brilliant and successful Year One camp. We took risks, grew in independence and strengthened our relationships with each other.
