Naplan, Year 3 Students

Dear Parents of Year 3,

This year as part of the Federal Government National Benchmark Assessments in Literacy and Numeracy, students at Christian College Junior School along with other students across Australia will participate in State-based standardised assessments to monitor trends in these learning areas.

In Australia, all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 complete a National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) test conducted by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. These tests and assessments are used to monitor trends in these learning areas.

The testing dates are Tuesday 15th, Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th of May 2018. In the weeks leading up to these tests, Year 3 students will undertake practice tests in order to familiarise themselves with the testing format and processes involved in completing the tests.

Christian College uses these NAPLAN Tests as one of a wide-range of student tests and assessment tasks to measure the progress and skill development of your child. These results will be made available to parents in Term 3.
