Healthy Heroes Geelong Football Club Visit - Year 3 & 4 Physical Education

On Wednesday, the Year 3 & 4 students were lucky enough to have a visit from the Geelong Football Club as a part of the Healthy Heroes program. The Healthy Heroes program encourages and inspires students to take positive action to protect and enhance their own health and wellbeing. Through AFL and VFLW role models, students learn the importance of exercising and being active, eating well, drinking water, reducing screen time and getting enough rest. Geelong players George Horlin- Smith and Ryan Gardner visited our campus to help deliver the program and share their experiences from when they were a similar age and throughout their careers as professional athletes. All students took a lot away from the session and will continue focusing on these topics in their Health classes.
