For the Mums and Special Women out there...

Do you have an amazing mum? Are you a son or a daughter that has experienced the joy of having a mum or mother figure in your life? I have been reflecting on this as we approach Mother’s Day on Sunday and what a mum means. Each person’s family journey is unique and at this time of the year at Junior School we encourage students to think about their mum. Students have been writing to their mums and creating precious gifts made with love. They have been engaging in conversation about what makes their mum special and how incredible she is. My mum is ‘the most amazing mother in the whole world’ (perhaps you might say the same about your mum!!!) and I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank-you to all mums and special women for the unconditional love and support they shower on their children. I came across a verse that I would like to share with you as I wish you a very happy Mother’s Day.

“I believe that God sent you into my life to give me something to fight for, to show me there is love in this world, to give me hope and to bring me joy. All the proof in God I need is in you, as you are a gift from the heavens”.

I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the Junior School parents who have worked tirelessly to organise, prepare and run our Mother's Day stall. Also to all those in our community that have generously donated to this stall. There were many excited children considering some very special purchases for their mum in the Chapel today and we truly hope you enjoy your surprise.

A HUGE thank-you to Danielle at Baker's Delight Highton for the provision of our lunch and pink buns to raise awareness of the Pink Lady Foundation today. We will continue to support this cause with a Pink Lady Fundraiser later this year.
