Learning and Growing at Year 2 Camp

Our Year 2 students were very excited getting on the bus to head off to Camp Wilkin in Anglesea. They enjoyed the challenge of working through activities such as the rock wall climb, the giant flying fox, initiative activities and the low ropes course. It was pleasing to see the students extending themselves and having a go at all of the activities presented to them.

The students also took part in a range of chores which helped to develop their independence, taking responsibility for duties such as setting the table and cleaning up at the end of meal times is not only helpful, but also assists the children in their growth and confidence when they are away from home. It was great to see them building on their relationships with each other and having so much fun together.

A big thank you to the assisting staff members Gary Crole and Allie Jacobi as well as student teacher Alice Marange. We were also very blessed to have Nikki Frecklington and Ned Simpson, two of our Year 9 prefects, assisting us on camp. A great time was had by all!
