Year Ones Go Wild at Zoo To You

On Monday, the Year Ones had some furry, feathery, scaly and slimy creatures visit through the Wild Action Zoo To You incursion. The students were captivated by the interesting facts about the animals and were particularly interested to find out that frogs use their eyeballs to swallow their food! YUCK! Each student had the opportunity to take a photo with one of the Australian animals and then write about it back in the classroom. This incursion kicked off the biological sciences unit, ‘It’s Alive!’ where students will investigate living things, their external features and how they help them survive.
