Let the Tournament begin!
It has been very exciting to watch the Year 4 to 6 Q’ed students exploring and developing many personal, interpersonal, individual and corporate skills all of which are advantageous for a person to employ when faced with a challenge, and required to work with others to reach a solution.
As the annual Tournament of Minds program offers a perfect real world setting in which Primary and Secondary school students can utilize and expand their problem-solving abilities, this year we are offering not only the Q’ed 4 to 6 students but in fact any student in Years 5 or 6, the opportunity to join and participate in a TOM team.
We will be holding a TOM Information Session in the Highton Middle Campus Library next Wednesday 30th May, commencing 5.30pm for an hour. Any student or parent interested in discovering more about the benefits and obligations of participation, are warmly encouraged to attend this session.
One very important proviso to consider before attending, is the student’s availability on the following dates as once teams are nominated, there can be no exchange players. More of this detail to come next Wednesday!
Hope to see you there.
