Junior School assembly is an exciting event and today was no exception! Riley Williams (4G) commenced assembly with a self-composed piece titled ‘Grace’ which he performed on the violin. This was followed by 4G’s assembly item which continued the message of our Christian College value of ’Grace’ through the song Amazing Grace, through dance and in the role plays students used to show what Grace looks like. It was wonderful to see the students of 4G have an opportunity to bring this message to their community as they presented both individually and as a team.
We were also blessed to be joined by Graham Barton, Year 8 Coordinator and a driving force behind recent East Timor projects. Graham shared visions of East Timor, of children reading and studying under street light and his passion for the people of East Timor. Mariana Nohra and Josiah Davies (Project Care Leaders) presented fundraising of $640.80 collective of the casual dress day and stationary stall run last Friday, May 18.
Then there's always the fun, Mr Smith revving up the crowd with a fun song and a special guest appearance by Mr Donald Trump (perhaps Mr. Foran in disguise?).
We are privileged to come together in our assemblies to celebrate student achievements and remind ourselves what a special community we have at the Junior School.
