GISSA cross-country event

On Wednesday our College competed in the Geelong Independent Schools Sport Association (GISSA) Cross-country Championships (Year 7 to 12), where the standard of distance running was very high. We wish to thank all those students who represented the College on the day (122 Team members in total), earning points towards the GISSA XC Shield as a result of their efforts. The College finished a very creditable 2nd to Kardinia IC on the day in the overall Team Shield. However, we were successful in winning both the Junior Girls and the Senior Boys sections of this event. We congratulate and thank our students who competed on the day, and acknowledge those students who finished in the top 3 of their age group: Bethany Dean 1st 14yrs; Phoebe Maloney 1st 15yrs; Flynn Daniel 2nd and Cooper Geall 3rd 15yrs; Archie Hildebrandt 3rd 16yrs. Finally we would like to thank Georgia Quick and James Jirik for their leadership of our XC team at this event.
