Inspired Researchers - Year 3 & 4

Having been inspired by last week’s Reptile Day the Year 3 and 4 students have spent the week further developing their research skills in the Library. This project entailed the students choosing an animal to study and expanding their understanding about the life cycle, habitat and needs for survival of their chosen animal. It has been exciting for the teachers to watch the students developing their research skills using the encyclopedias, the World Wide Web and also locating the books from the Library collection. Many thanks to our Librarians Mrs Canaway and Jessie for sharing their extensive knowledge with the children. The students have also enjoyed creating and constructing their own dioramas to illustrate the habitat of their animal.
