Selection in a State team is a fantastic achievement at any level, and our College is proud to acknowledge the following students who have been selected in the Team Vic State Swimming Team to compete at the School Sport Australia Championships in July. Congratulations to Nicole Briscoe (7M), Madison Cooper (8G), Dylan Logan (9Y) and Max Piroch (Yr11) on their selection in this State Team. This is a great outcome for these students who have dedicated themselves to this sport for a number of years, and have all been achieving some excellent results at State, National and International Championships over the past 12months. Madison has been selected to swim 7 individual events in the 13/14 age group, along with Nicole in 5 events. Dylan has 9 individual events in his age group, and Max will be competing in 5 events in the 17/18 age group.

On the back of 5th place in the 200m Backstroke at the Australian Age Championships, Madison has been selected in Swimming Victoria’s ‘Performance Squad’, which is designed to enhance her swimming skills for future State and National representation.

Dylan recently competed at the South African Open National Swimming Championships, where he competed in 9 individual events over the course of 6 days. He finished with 2 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze medals, which is a brilliant result considering he was competing in an open age Championship.

This is a fantastic achievement for these young athletes, and the College community would like to take this opportunity to wish them all the very best for the School Sport Australia Championships next month.
