The College would like to congratulate the following students on their performance at the recent State and Regional Cross-Country Championships. Bethany Dean (8G) and Bianca Pocklington (8G) represented the College at the Victorian All Schools XC Championships held last Saturday at Bundoora Park. In a field of 80 runners, Bethany finished 14th and Bianca 39th in the U15 Girls event. This was a great result for both girls, who each ran strongly against a quality field of young athletes. Both girls are to be commended on their efforts at these State Championships.

Maddy Grunberg (B05D), Harry Morphet (B06D), Ben Bowers (B06D), Emily Lawrie (6R) and Martin Dean (6R) represented the College at the Western Metropolitan Region Cross-Country Championships held yesterday at Brimbank Park. On behalf of the College we congratulate these five students on qualifying for the Regional Championships, based on excellent running performances at the recent District and Division Championship events. They each acquitted themselves very well in their particular age group, running strongly on a very demanding 3km cross-country course. As a result of their performances on the day, Maddy (4th) and Martin (12th) have qualified for the State Championships to be held early next term. This is the second year in a row that these two students have qualified for the State Championships, which is a great achievement.
